WHAT IS A POLICY LIMITS TRACE?

A Policy Limits Trace entails the provision of the insurer's name and a policy or claim number. Its primary objective is to ascertain the policy limits associated with the specified policy number, as of the provided date of loss. It is important to emphasize that a Policy Limits Trace does not ascertain the policy's active status on a specific date of loss, nor does it verify the insurance coverage for a particular vehicle or specific property under the policy.

Please be aware that if the requested policy's limits are successfully identified, an invoice will be issued regardless of whether the policy was active on the provided date of loss or if it covered a specific loss, irrespective of the reason. time is 2-3 business days yet often arrives sooner.

WHAT IS A POLICY EXISTENCE TRACE?

A Policy Existence Trace is conducted with the aim of confirming the existence of a policy that matches the type specified in your request, effective on the provided date of loss, and covering the defendant entity or individual as indicated on your Request Form. Upon a successful Policy Existence Trace, you will receive essential information, including the Insurer's Name, Address, and Phone Number.

WHAT IS A POLICY NUMBER TRACE?

A Policy Number Trace can identify the policy number for a policy that believe to be in effect for a defendant with a specific insurance company. Please note that the results of a Policy Number Trace do not include Policy Limits or Policy Existence.

DO I GET A HARD COPY OF THE POLICY OR DECLARATION SHEET?

No, we do not have the legal authority to provide a copy of these documents.

HOW MUCH INFORMATION DO YOU NEED FROM ME?

We love challenges. Often times lawyers call us when other companies couldn’t deliver. While some are more difficult and time consuming than others, there are no type of coverage that we won’t try to trace. AAA policies, USAA, and American National and Wawanesa require non-refundable minimum fees.

CAN YOU SEARCH FOR UMBRELLA, AND EXTENDED COVERAGES ONLY?

Of course. We do this all the time. Ideally you provide us with the primary coverage details as it helps us focus the search. As you probably know the majority of insurance carriers will not write an umbrella policy unless the primary limits are a minimum of 250k / 500k.
